Getting Started

Should you join FPS as a Recruiting Consultant, we will sign an agreement that will spell out our relationship and how we will share the recruiting fees. To get you up to speed as quickly as possible, here is what you could expect:

  • You will prepare your work space: computer, printer, high-speed internet connection, business telephone and phone line. You'll want to consider a head set for hands-free phone calls.
  • You will set up Outlook or Outlook Express for your business email address.
  • You will be given business cards, electronic brochures, and letterhead--along with instructions for their use.
  • You will be given access to all recruiting forms and instructions for their use.
  • You will read and discuss the FPS training manual and begin your web-based, 80-day training period.
  • You will begin FPS training and vendor training on FPS research tools, other FPS resources, and our web-based recruiting software.
  • Within two weeks of your start, you will begin making calls to potential clients and candidates. Don't worry though. You will be ready, and we will be ready to assist you.
  • For the first month or more, you will work very closely with your FPS team lead. There will always be an FPS associate ready to lend a hand.

Working simultaneously on these tasks will streamline your introduction period and prepare you to be productive. For more information, contact Kim Fowler at kim@fowlerplacement.com or call 614-717-9872..
